Consett hopes go West this time

CONSETT AFC 1 WEST AUCKLAND TOWN 2

WEST Auckland came from behind to knock Northern League rivals Consett out of the FA Vase. Consett still have the delayed 2019-20 Vase final to look forward to, but West are into the last 32 of this season’s competition.
All the goals came in an eightminute spell during a lively opening half. Consett had already fired early warnings when Dale Pearson had a shot blocked and Ali Alshabeeb blazed over.
