RED STAR LAND VASE REPRIEVE IN FA PROBE

SEAHAM Red Star have been reinstated into the FA Vase. In December, the Northern League Division One club lost their third round game at North Ferriby 7-6 on a penalty shoot-out after a 2-2 draw, but the hosts were later found to have played an ineligible player in midfielder Iwan Heeley. But an FA panel which met following an investigation ruled that North Ferriby “did not know and could not have known” that Heeley was ineligible as he was suspended, and so did not expel them from the competition or fine them.
