SPIREITES SUPPORT ‘ABUSED’ VACCINE OFFICIALS

BIG-HEARTED Chesterfield fans have set up a fundraising drive for their local medical centre after staff were subject to personal threats and abuse for giving players an early Covid-19 vaccine.
Three Spireites players and three members of staff received the vaccine at Stubley Medical Centre in Dronfield this week, prompting claims locally that they “jumped the queue” for the jab.
The centre confirmed the players and staff who received the jab were called in at short notice and that the vaccine would have gone to waste had they not turned up.
