Former Cray boss Keith Bird takes over as chairman at Holmesdale

Bird, who also managed Bromley’s reserves, takes over at Oakley Road from Ray Tolfrey, who has become president.
FORMER Tunbridge Wells and Cray Wanderers manager Keith Bird has returned to football after a six-year absence to take over as chairman of Southern Counties East Division One outfit Holmesdale.

Bird, who also managed Bromley’s reserves, takes over at Oakley Road from Ray Tolfrey, who has become president.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the club at this time,” said Bird. “Holmesdale is a well-established club with a dedicated fan, player, management and committee base. I feel very fortunate that the club has asked me to drive a number of initiatives.”
