GRIMSBY TOWN’S David Longe-King got the perfect reference of his new club before signing – former Mariners’ hot-shot Padraig Amond.

Ex-England C defender Longe-King has joined Paul Hurst’s side after leaving League Two Newport County.
It was there the 26-year-old played alongside striker Amond – known as Podge – who scored 35 goals when Town were promoted out of the Football League in 2016.
