Boldon CA boss welcomes belated Northern League promotion

BOLDON CA will become a Northern League club for the first time in their history this season – although the news is yet to sink in for manager David Crumbie.

The South Tyneside outfit appealed against the decision to not promote them into Step 6 as part of the Football Association’s restructure of the Non-League system.
Friday brought the welcome news that their appeal had been successful, and they will take their place alongside former Wearside League rivals Horden CW in a 21-team Northern League Division Two this season.
