The fixture saw chances at a premium, with only Tom Devitt’s early header proving a difficulty, but the visitors scrambled the ball away on the line.
The deadlock was broken just after the hour, as Jack Donaghy swiped down Brad Wells in the area.
Frecklington just about squeezed it past Mark Foden in the bottom right corner.
