STOCKTON Town’s first match in the Northern Premier League started with a draw with Stocksbridge Park Steels.
Despite the game being goalless, both teams had plenty of chances and could have won it.
The Anchors had the better of the early periods and could have taken the lead when the Steels failed to clear a corner. Jonathan Franks got the space needed to get a shot off but smashed it against the bar.
