A LATE burst of three goals in ten minutes saw Chesham clinch their first win of the season after trailing for most of the game.
Chesham made the early running but Merthyr took the lead against the run of play after 18 minutes, Kerry Morgan netting with a rising drive from 25 yards – the visitors’ only shot on target of the game.
Chesham continued to have the upper hand but the visitors’ defence looked solid. Chesham’s main threat came from Zak Joseph but his two efforts on goal were just off target.
