WITTON ALBION earned their first league victory of the season with a win at Morpeth Town.
It was three points that moved them off the foot of the table and saw the Highwaymen replace them.
That was despite the hosts taking lead in the seventh minute, when Jeff Henderson netted from close range.
The defender was alert to a rebound, after Sean Taylor’s back-post header was parried into danger by Greg Hall, to smash an effort into the roof of the net and give the Highwaymen the advantage.
