HENDON were too strong for a young Merthyr Town team who battled bravely but could not match the strength of the visitors.
The Greens got off to a great start when they scored after six minutes.
Liam Brooks played a through ball to Hanza Semakula who took the ball on and shot through the legs of Steven Cann.
The first effort from Merthyr was a shot from Charlie Hillman that Fred Burbidge pushed around the post. Another chance came to Elias Youssef, who got a header in, but Burbidge tipped the ball over the bar.
