IAN Richards got off to the perfect start as Stocksbridge Park Steels manager as his side overcame Bridlington Town.
Despite an early scare when Lewis Dennison headed wide from close range, the Steels got the lead when a fantastic move was finished off by Lewis Whitham, curling in from close range.
Stocksbridge doubled the lead in the second half when Michael Trench’s perfect cross was volleyed in at the far post by Luke Mangham.
