■ A LATE equaliser from the penalty spot gave Sporting Khalsa a well-deserved shares of the spoils.
But it was harsh on Daventry’s Moldovan keeper Iustin Cerga, who had produced save after save to deny the home side – including a first-half penalty save.
Town always looked dangerous on the break and that is how they opened the scoring when striker Lewis Irwin beat the offside trap to record his first goal of the season in the 71st minute.
