WHITLEY BAY 3 BILLINGHAM SYNTH 4

■ BILLINGHAM Synthonia produced a cup shock as they edged a seven-goal thriller against four-time FA Vase winners Whitley Bay.
Adam Shanks gave Bay the lead within 80 seconds only for Bradley Mills’ free-kick to restore parity after four minutes.
The visitors had the lead eight minutes later through Kurtis Howes.
Mitchell Ramsay, set up by Shanks, had the Seahorses level on 19 minutes, Synners back in front just before the break through Howe’s second of the afternoon.
