Carver deals a blow to Chorley

SOUTHPORT staged a stirring second-half fightback to wipe out a twogoal half-time deficit and earn a deserved replay.
Goals from Connor Woods and Chorley old boy Marcus Carver mean the teams must do it all again at Haig Avenue on Tuesday night after Connor Hall and Jacob Blyth had put the Magpies in control in the first half.
Chorley took just four minutes to break the deadlock lead when Blyth’s headed flick-on sent Hall clear to coolly lift the ball beyond Cameron Mason.
