■ BUXTON eased into the next round courtesy of a convincing first-half display.
The Pics brought with them an excellent previous record at Buxton, but were chasing the game from the second minute.
Jamie Ward netted from 18 yards after a delightful Tommy Elliott back-healed pass set him away.
Both Elliott and Diego De Girolamo both went close before the former doubled the advantage in the 13th minute as he latched on to Theo Richardson’s freekick.
The third goal resulted from a defensive nightmare, with Elliott netting on the stroke of half-time.
