■ THE top two in the Isthmian League South- Central division went head to head at Bottom Meadow, with both sides going into the game with unbeaten starts in the league.
The deadlock was broken after 35 minutes when Dave Tarpey fired the hosts into the lead.
Shamar Moore let the ball run for Tarpey who made a yard of space for himself and arrowed the ball across goal and into the bottom corner. Tarpey came close to doubling the hosts lead on the hour mark, but Uxbridge keeper Tobin was alert to keep out the close-range effort.
