BOTTOM club Morpeth earned their first away point on the road at the sixth attempt and led twice as an out-of-sorts Buxton at least preserved their unbeaten record.
All four goals and the bulk of the action came in the first half as the visitors twice profited from defensive errors, but only after the Bucks had opened very brightly.
Nathan Fox and Tommy Elliott combined on the left, creating chances for Ben Milnes, while Warren Clarke forced a fine save from keeper Dan Lowson.
