■ DESPITE creating a number of good scoring opportunities, Lancing found themselves a goal down after 28 minutes when Luke Tanner got on the end of a cross from the left to score.
A couple of minutes later Corinthian increased their lead when Lancing’s clearance from the penalty area was hit straight back in, finding Becka-Kah Dembele who hit a powerful shot beyond keeper Mitch Bromage.
Corinthian spurned a golden opportunity to go three up.
Kah-Dembele intercepted a pass and raced clear, but screwed his shot wide.
