■SHILDON headed back to the north-east with all three points thanks a strike by substitute Michael Sweet.
The match started tentatively with both teams probing to work an opening; the best chances fell to United though but Andy Janssen couldn’t meet Robbie Smith’s cross, while Matt Cotton went close with two efforts.
