■BIGGLESWADE won their first home match of the season by defeating Welwyn Garden City at The Eyrie. The home side deservedly took the lead in the 23rd minute when Alex Marsh unleashed a spectacular shot which flew into the net.
Welwyn equalised when the dangerous Jordan Watson fired in from close range.
The visitors pressed, sensed a winning goal but Biggleswade defended solidly and the excellent Tyler Josephs in goal made a number of great saves.
