YORK CITY dominated against a poor Blyth Spartans side, thumping the visitors 4-0 to take themselves into the playoff places.
The Minstermen went into the game looking for a reaction following the midweek defeat to Boston and Steve Watson’s men did just that with an early Paddy McLaughlin goal after a long throw from striker Clayton Donaldson just two minutes in.
Matty Brown then doubled the lead after 16 minutes – the colossal centre half slotting into the bottom corner with a real striker’s finish with his back to goal.
