WARRINGTON Town proved too strong for the Hornets despite a spirited showing from the hosts.
After a tight first half, Amar Purewal narrowly fired past a post from Olly Martin’s cross, seconds before Jack Mackreth cut open the defence at the other end to take the lead.
A last-ditch block somehow denied Connor Bell after 53 minutes following a driven Purewal cross, but Stefan Mols came off the bench to double the Yellows’ lead after 76 minutes.
