CELTIC survived a scare in each half to ultimately sail into the next round.
They were fortunate when Ammers skipper James Beaston, who had already cleared two efforts off the line, shanked a 19th-minute penalty horribly wide.
There was a sniff of an upset when Adam Priestley’s 54th minute header cancelled out Justin Johnson’s opener.
