KIRWAN QUITS OAK

TOMMY Kirwan has stood down as boss of Southern Combination Division One basement side Mile Oak to be replaced by club stalwart Anthony Whittingham.
With only one win in 14 leagues games, and facing increasing work commitments, Kirwan resigned after talks with chairman Phil Brotherton. Kirwan will stay on as a player.
Secretary Karl Gillingham said: “He has had the most difficult start to his time as a manager, inheriting a depleted squad during Covid-19 with the departure of several senior players with hundreds of appearances for the club.”
