FC UNITED made it backto-back wins in the league for the first time this season, but two Gainsborough Trinity substitutes helped make this clash a lot closer than the Broadhurst Park faithful would have liked.
The visitors almost opened the scoring after 27 minutes, when Alex Wollerton rounded keeper Dan Lavercombe and rolled the ball into what looked like an empty goal, however defender Aaron Morris had other ideas and managed to stop the ball from crossing the line.
