SHILDON beat a struggling Pontefract side in convincing fashion, despite being reduced to ten men in the first half.
The home side’s Ben Trotter was shown a straight red with the score at 0-0.
Shildon took the lead thanks to a penalty from Dean Thexton.
Thexton then had a great opportunity to make it two but he missed his kick as the game started to get feisty.
But in the second half the hosts cruised to victory, scoring a second penalty through Thexton, before putting the game to bed with two counter-attacking move...
