MARINE spot-kicked their way to victory for the third consecutive Trophy tie. But the shoot-out was far from the afternoon’s only drama.
In the 53rd minute, the match was suspended as all four floodlights went out at the same time.
But play resumed after a near-45 minute delay, thanks to electrician and Dunston midfielder Phil Turnbull.
And a previously dull encounter lit up, as the hosts went two goals up.
Ryan Wignall opened the scoring on 63 minutes, netting from close range after Ben Hughes’ effort fell to him....
