■ CHIPSTEAD were unable to stop Northwood’s march to victory.
It took only nine minutes for the visitors to score the only, goal of the game, as tall striker Sydney Ibie was allowed to advance, before unleashing an unstoppable shot into the top corner.
Chips spent the rest of the game trying to find an equaliser. Kieran Lavery had a couple of shots just past the far post in the first half, and even when Northwood were reduced to ten men, when Tommy Boxer was sent off, Chipstead couldn’t take advantage.
