JAMES Clarke’s chart-topping Solihull Moors debut should be put to the tune of a famous Craig David song.
Signed on loan on Sunday, the Mansfield Town full-back trained in borrowed boots on Monday and grabbed an assist six minutes into his debut on Tuesday.
It helped threadbare Moors end a five-match winless run with a 2-0 National League win over Grimsby Town with Clarke showing no signs of stagefright in a back four that lost the services of key defender Callum Howe after 20 minutes.
