PRE-MATCH THEFT

A SNEAKY thief put paid to South Liverpool’s North West Counties Division One North home game against Steeton.
Last Saturday’s game was called off before it had begun, after the visiting dressing room at the Jericho Lane Sports Hub had been ransacked during their pre-match warm-up.
Personal items were stolen by the thief who had breached the venue’s security. The game was immediately called off and the league notified.
Police were handed CCTV footage which showed an individual with a full bag leaving the Chevrons’ dressing room.
