■ FRICKLEY took it to Shildon as they claimed a point off the third-placed team and almost took all three.
Joe West’s rasping drive stung Shaun Newbrook’s palms in the Shildon early on, before the visitors went down the other end and hit a post. That was a warning as Shildon took the lead after 12 minutes, Michael Sweet crashing a loose ball into the roof of the net.
The hosts were level five minutes before the break when Brad Wells headed home Tyler Williams’s cross.
