■ THE Millers secured all three points with a hardfought victory at a wet and windy Parkside.
Midway through the firsthalf, Alex Akrofi was through on goal and was brought down by the visitors’ goalkeeper Alfie Stronge.
Akrofi picked himself up and slotted home, sending Stronge the wrong way to put the hosts ahead.
Aveley started the second-half in the perfect fashion, with Akrofi back-heeling the ball for Jon Benton to double the home side’s lead.
