DEREHAM Town inflicted Canvey Island’s first Isthmian League North defeat of the season in the top-of-the-table clash at Park Lane.
Canvey had a couple of early chances through Matthew Price, who saw a shot saved inside the opening minute before volleying over after 16 minutes.
Dereham took the lead after 18 minutes when the ball was played into Shaun Bammant on the edge of the area.
