■ JOSHUA Ajayi gave the home side the perfect start as the Rams took advantage of early pressure.
Ajax scored in the 15th minute with a powerful curling shot into the top left corner after cutting inside.
The Rams continued to force the pressure, winning multiple corners but couldn’t find a second. The visitors began the second half on the front foot and can count themselves unlucky they didn’t equalise.
