A STUNNING second half goal from substitute Matt Dennis was enough to help Southend United edge past Dorking Wanderers in the Shrimpers’ first ever FA Trophy fixture.
Dennis, on loan from Norwich City, netted a brilliant effort from long range after Southend striker Sam Dalby had earlier cancelled out an opener from Alfie Rutherford at Roots Hall.
Both sides also failed to score from the penalty spot with the Shrimpers top scorer Rhys Murphy firing over in the first half and Billy-Joe Tayl...
