BASFORD returned to winning ways with a thoroughly dominant display, although they had to wait until late to seal the points.
Brad Gascoigne powered home the opening goal before Kane Richards found an emphatic second deep into stoppage time.
After a slow start, the game came alive after a long-range strike from Basford’s Ryan Wilson was clawed away by Atherton’s Bolton loanee keeper Luke Hutchinson.
