I LKESTON will be top of the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands table at Christmas after an entertaining, but goalless, draw against Stamford at the New Manor Ground.
Both sides had good chances to win the game.
The visitors in particular looking the most likely to take the victory, but they ultimately had to share the spoils in the Derbyshire mist. The Robins went close through Alex Troke early on.
