■ GLOSSOP took the lead after 33 minutes when a beautiful first-time cross came in from the right-hand side and Jamie Rainford made no mistake, heading into the corner to put The Hillmen one up.
The home side, unbeaten in seven games, extended their lead just before half-time when Lee Wilshaw headed home from a Louis White corner.
GNE dominated the second half but could add a third despite having numerous half chances to finish off the match.
