AN end-to-end battle in awful conditions finally went the way of St Albans City thanks to Joy Mukena’s winner.
It got off to a fast start and the hosts might have scored in the first minute. Che Ezennolim whipped in a cross that neither Dipo Akinyemi or Joe Muscatt could poke home. A minute later, St Albans raced to the other end, Shaun Jeffers pulled back and Alex Lankshear tucked it away.
Within three minutes parity was restored. Muscatt found Danny Parish alone from a corner and he rose to power his header home.
