BILLERICAY Town lifted themselves off the foot of the table with a fine win over high-flying Oxford City – their first league victory in 13 games.
The hosts started brightly and nearly took the lead on three minutes, but Joe Iaciofano could only direct an effort onto the post after Rhys Lovett spilled a shot.
However, it was Billericay who took the lead on nine minutes as Shaq Coulthirst’s fine curling effort into the bottom corner left Ben Dudzinski with no chance.
