GAINSBOROUGH TRINITY closed the gap on Basford, securing all three points courtesy of Declan Bacon’s late strike on a bitterly cold afternoon in Lincolnshire.
The Holy Blues started the game the brighter, looking to avenge the midweek disappointment of defeat at Nantwich, as teenage front man Jovon Makama led the line brilliantly all afternoon.
