WIDNES grinded out an important three points with a narrow victory over Trafford.
Dave Dempsey’s side started well and took the lead after just 11 minutes.
Lloyd Dean was afforded too much time to carve the Trafford defence open with an incisive pass, finding John McGrath who continued his excellent form with a delightful finish – his 10th goal in his last 13 appearances.
