Clayton Donaldson, Jack McKay and Paddy McLaughlin scored as York City completed a hat-trick of wins over Blyth Spartans this season.
Having won the October reverse 4-0 and a home FA Trophy tie 1-0, this Croft Park success brought a welcome return to form for the Minstermen.
There was one warning before the scoring was opened when McKay’s 15th-minute header from Scott Barrow’s cross went wide. Eleven minutes later, the unmarked Donaldson nodded in Mitch Hancox’s far-post cross and the second swiftly followed.
