GRIMSBY Town boss Paul Hurst looked ahead with optimism after a comfortable home win against Aldershot put his side within goal difference of the National League playoff positions.
With most of their promotion rivals in FA Trophy action, the Mariners took full advantage in wet and windy conditions as a double from John McAtee added to Erico Sousa’s opening goal, before Ryan Glover grabbed a late consolation for the Shots.
