BASFORD UNITED and Ashton United played out a stalemate at Greenwich Avenue as both goalkeepers came out on top.
Visiting custodian Gregory Hartley made a handful of fine saves that kept Ashton in it, whilst Kieran Preston denied James Melhado right at the death with wonderful acrobatics with only four minutes remaining.
Notts County loanee Tyreace Palmer missed a penalty for the hosts after Matt Thornhill was felled, which saw him sent to hospital with a suspected broken cheekbone.
