■ SUTTON Coldfield’s fine run came to a halt as Aaron Opoku gave Carlton Town victory with the only goal of the game.
Carlton had their best chance of the first half when a corner was headed against the bar by Aaron O’Connor.
But on the stroke of halftime Carlton forward Opoku had the easiest of runs as he cut in from the left to fire the ball past Joni Brown.
Sutton had a strong call for a penalty turned down after the break when Curvin Ellis was felled in the box.
