BILLERICAY jumped off the bottom of the table with a well-earned point.
It was thrill-a-minute from the get-go. On 15 minutes defender Michael Chambers headed home for the Essex side, but his celebrations were cut short by the assistant’s offside flag.
Three minutes later, the home side struck. Manny Duku harassed the fullback by the corner flag before skilfully breaking clear and delivering an inch-perfect cross for Stefan Payne to head powerfully past Zaki Oualah.
