CHAMPIONS Banbury were forced to defend for most of the game, but they grabbed the points with two late goals.
And the quality of the second goal wasn’t in doubt, sealing matters on 87 minutes.
Hitchin began in earnest, with Jake Hutchinson’s second-minute strike over and Rio Dasilva shooting wide. The Puritans were out of sorts and rode their luck in a first half where Hitchin came the closer to scoring, Johnny Allotey and Kyle Tearle missing chances.
