PROMOTION-CHASING Southport and Spennymoor shared the spoils on a windy afternoon.
The hosts started well,Michael Carberry striking the post from a corner in the seventh minute with Jordan Amissah caught off guard.
The weather was sure to have an impact and it almost gave Southport the lead two minutes later as a mis-hit Tyler Walton shot caught in the wind, bringing Amissah off his line. With Amissah unable to collect it, the ball fell to Carberry but his cross evaded a Southport man.
